CORRECTION: The police officer who supposedly died from being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher actually died from natural causes; specifically a heart attack.

The rioting in the streets that we have witnessed across our Nation last summer is sadly Editorialcontinuing into this year. As everyone knows January 6 a  large number of people made up of Trump supporters, along with insurgents from Black Lives Matter and Antifa,  broke into the Capitol Building in Washington. Five people died, and many were injured. Three of the five died from heart problems, a woman climbing into the Capitol building was shot and killed and a police officer was struck with a fire extinguisher. He died later from his injuries.

Violent anti-Trump protests and demonstrations broke out during the 2017 inauguration of President Donald Trump. But the Left along with the mainstream media did not condemn those individuals like they have done recently to Conservatives. In fact, the media did more to promote it than they did to discourage it.

Those two same militant groups were responsible for much of the destruction during the summer. According to what news outlet is reporting from May through October there were between 19 and 25 people killed during these riots, and the costs of the destruction to taxpayers were in the billions of dollars. Those anarchists were also involved in the riots in DC in 2017 during President Trump's inauguration.

Excluding parades can anyone remember the last time such a large contingent of armed troops were seen patrolling the Nation's Capitol. Those in power say it is necessary because intelligence agencies have found credible evidence that an uprising is on the horizon. Are these the same agencies that told us there were bombs of mass destruction hidden in Iraq?

Wednesday, January 20, Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president of the United States. In anticipation of more rioting a high fence topped off with barbed wire has been placed around the White House. Between 25,000 and 35,000 National Guard troops, from every state in the Union, have been stationed throughout Washington.

“You know government. They either under-react or over-react. So, I think there was too little security obviously last week, and now we’re going to become a militarized zone,” Senator Ron Paul said in an interview with Fox News’ “Ingraham Angle.”

In December Joe Biden, the elected Democratic president called for peace and in January President Trump, after exhausting all avenues to challenge the outcome of the election, also urged calm. There might have been a chance that serenity would have prevailed, but, the hateful Rep. Nancy Pelosi, and the majority of Democrats in the House passed a resolution impeaching Trump, for the second time in 13 months.  Add to the pot the one-sided reporting of the mainstream media who also wanted to see Trump removed from office before his term ended and the odds for calm got lost in the shuffle.

Some could care less about the antics of the political elite. And others get incensed by what they are seeing. So mad that their anger has spilled into the small communities that make up our country.

You would think by now the media and the political elite would realize that their words and actions have consequences. But they are endless with their attacks on Conservatives. As such, innocent people are getting hurt.

The hat our best friend was wearing looked a lot like this one. The NRA gives it out to members who renew their membership. The man who verbally attacked our friend took offense to the American Flag and the word Freedom that was imprinted on the hat.
What is wrong with people today? It is our flag!

For example, just the other day, a friend was shopping in Woodbury, NJ when he was approached by a man, a perfect stranger, who was screaming in his face that our friend was a racist, and a Trump supporter just because he was wearing a baseball cap with an American Flag and the words Freedom imprinted on it.  Fortunately, another man came along who defended our buddy. If he hadn't stepped in who knows how that situation would have ended.

Can you imagine the woman was walking along New Broadway, Brooklawn when a perfect stranger spits towards her because she was wearing a mask like this one? (CNBNews graphic)

Right before November's election, a lovely woman we know was walking on New Broadway in Brooklawn. She was wearing an American flag face mask. A man she did not know walking in the opposite direction spit on the ground in front of her and said, "That is what I think of you and your Flag."

Peace has to come to our Nation. Media, politicians, and alike need to stop the partisan verbosity. It is time to move on.  And that movement begins with you whether you are white, black, yellow, or green, we are all the same inside. Start double-checking your news sources. Tell your Washington representative and those in your state capital you want the infighting to stop. You hired these people, and you can fire them just as easily in the next election.

If not the attacks like those on our friends and others will continue to escalate. The divide between the two sides will never close.

Please take a few minutes and listen to the words in this song One Day at a Time performed by Lynda Randle in the video below.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
