Gloucester Township PD Investigating Theft Of A MV Left Running At Wawa Gas Pumps

BLENHEIM NJ (January 29, 2021)-- --On January 16, 2021 at 7:20 PM, the victim left their red Ford Escape running at the gas pumps, and went inside the Wawa store located on the Black Horse Pike in the Blenheim Section. The suspect arrived in a Chrysler Town & Country Mini van, saw the unoccupied Ford Escape running, paid for the gasoline, and stole the vehicle. The suspect returns to the Wawa later on foot to retrieve his minivan, and left the area.
At this time, the red Ford Escape displaying New Jersey tags L64-MLZ is still reported stolen. GTPD reminds drivers to "Lock It Or Lose It". NEVER leave a unattended vehicle running (unless you have auto start) and unsecure, especially at a public store's parking lot.
