This holiday season may look a little different, but that doesn’t mean Bucks County won’t be welcoming winter with yuletide joy for the whole family! From festive furry friends to holiday light shows, Bucks County offers the perfect activities and events – both virtual and in-person - to celebrate the holiday season.


  • Shady Brook Farm Holiday Light Show

November 21 – January 10
Remember 2020 with a photo of Santa and your loved ones sporting a mask and keeping a safe distance. Don’t leave without a car or wagon ride through the Holiday Light Show. With more than 3 million lights illuminating the vast farm, this 2-mile ride around is something to behold on a chilly wintry night. Finally, bundle up and toast some S’mores at a distanced bonfire or rent your own pit if you are with a large group!.

42nd Annual Holiday Festival of the Trees

Pearl S. Buck House
November 14 – December 30
Each year, the rooms of the Pearl S. Buck House in Perkasie come to life with the incredible glow of holiday decor. Tickets are required for the tours, which showcase trees and vignettes designed by local artists, decorators and community groups. This National Historic Landmark is the perfect setting to ring in the holiday season.

Virtual Performance of Gerald Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

Byers’ Choice
November 26 - December 31 
Byers’ Choice in Chalfont has been handcrafting Caroler® figurines for more than 40 years. Stop in the factory to see how they are made and tour their Christmas Museum. This year “A Christmas Carol,” performed by Gerald Dickens, Charles Dickens great-great-grandson, will be streaming virtually on Vimeo. Watch this inspirational performance of a timeless classic in the comfort of your home! 

Holiday Concerts

Sellersville Theater
November & December
Sing and dance your way into the holiday spirit at the Sellersville Theater with a variety of holiday concerts throughout the season, including the Greg Sover Band, Kasim Sulton, Kurtis Conner, plus a Wine Tasting Dinner and Christmas Eve Luncheon! The theatre does have a limited capacity so make sure to get tickets in advance.

Family Mystery Walking Tours

It is almost Christmas, and we can’t find the Elf on the Shelf! Shelfie has important work to do, but after searching the entire North Pole we can’t find Shelfie anywhere!  Can you help us find our favorite elf? Join Mrs. Claus at the “North Pole” for this walking tour and help us solve the mystery of the missing Elf on the Shelf! Tours are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge has been given new life thanks to the haunting vision of one of Broadway’s most imaginative directors, Michael Arden and the Tony-winning virtuoso, Jefferson Mays. This streaming video event will benefit Bucks County Playhouse as well as other community, amateur, regional theaters across the country.

Head to Sesame Place® Philadelphia in Langhorne for a special holiday performance from everyone’s favorite furry friends. The fun music and dance specials are a festive way for the family to enjoy some fun holiday spirit while singing along! Don’t miss the train ride tour through the Twiddlebugs’ Gingerbread Cookie Factory on the Sesame Place Furry Express, or the chance to meet Lightning the Reindeer.

ALL-NEW Furry & Bright Christmas Drive-Thru Experience

November 10 – December 23
Guests can now experience Tuesdays and Wednesdays, November 10 through December 23 beginning at 5 p.m. from the comfort of their own vehicle! Journey through a winter wonderland with millions of twinkling lights, holiday décor, a festive Christmas soundtrack, and everyone’s favorite Sesame Street friends dressed in their warm winter best. Guests will travel through Candy Cane Lane, lined with six-foot versions of the red-and-white striped iconic treat followed by a 50 foot tunnel made up of millions of twinkling lights that resemble a night sky. Next up is Snowflake Way, where guests will be enchanted by a winter’s snowfall experience. As guests enter the park, they will feel like they have become a part of The Neighborhood Street Party Christmas Parade as they are greeted along the way by their furry friends dressed in their warm winter best atop their festive floats. They will also have the chance to gaze up at an illuminated nine-foot menorah in celebration of Hanukkah. To cap off the trail, guests can wave to the jolly man himself, Santa Claus, as he wishes everyone a happy holiday season! Face coverings are required at transaction points (admission, merchandise, and culinary) during your experience.

Mini Tree Lightings & Gingerbread House Competition and Display

Peddler’s Village in Lahaska is full of holiday spirit during the wintertime, offering many different experiences throughout this festive season. While the Grand Illumination event may be cancelled this year, visitors can still stroll through the enchanted lit up Village, sip tasty beverages, enjoy fine dining and casual fare, see the handmade gingerbread houses, ride a 1920s carousel and play in the arcade!

‘Tis the season for outdoor Christmas shopping! Visit the brand new European-style outdoor market in Bensalem where you enjoy dining, shopping and getting into the festive spirit. Decorated vendors will offer a special gift for everyone to enjoy from toys to home décor to jewelry. They even have an Amazing Christmas Tree tent for you to pick out the perfect evergreen! Your spirits will never be low as you shop and dance along to the free live entertainment all season long.

The North Pole Express & Santa’s Steam Spectacular

New Hope Railroad
November 14 – December 30
Sip hot chocolate and enjoy a freshly baked cookie while singing along with the railroad’s roaming musicians as they play Christmas carols on these two rides. Meet with Santa on the steam locomotive pulling Santa’s Steam Spectacular and share your Christmas wishes with him. The North Pole Express offers similar amenities, but is pulled by a vintage diesel locomotive instead. Gear up in pajamas and enjoy the relaxing holiday ride through historic Bucks County. This historic Doylestown location is offering a plethora of holiday activities. This includes Winter Wonderland Tours of Fonthill Castle, A Holiday Lights Meander for you and your loved ones to take your own 30-minute exploration of the castle’s beautiful Christmas decorations on Saturday and Sunday from December 5 to December 20, and, if you would like a more structured option, they are offering guided evening tours from November 23 until December 22!

Held every year on Christmas Day at the location of Washington’s Delaware River crossing is a reenactment of the treacherous crossing itself! This year, the park is taking the show virtual at 10 a.m. on Christmas movie via a recording on Facebook. Stopping by the park for a stroll? The park will be decked out in period wreaths, candles and holiday trees.

Light up the bines with the first ever Vineyard Illumination at the seven Bucks County Wine Trail vineyards starting December 5. Each winery will be hosting different holiday festivities at kickoff. Indulge in seasonal hand-crafted wines, like Alpine Spice Wine at Sand Castle Winery or Maple Whiskey Barrel Marquette at Bishop Estate Vineyard & Winery. Each winery offers a selection of samples to taste and tours around their property.

Bucks County Ale Trail

Grab a brew (or two!) at one of the many breweries along the Bucks County’s Ale Trail! Relax and kick back with seasonal brews as you complete your passport to win a limited-edition t-shirt.

Bucks County Distilleries

Visit Bucks County’s distilleries are offering take-out this holiday season! Warm up and sip on aged spirits, such as Whiskey with a Port Wine finish from Dad’s Hat or Sunday Morning Stout Corn Whiskey from Triple Sun Spirits Co. A bottle of one of their hand-crafted spirits makes the perfect holiday gift!
