For Using Stolen Information to Commit Tax Fraud Gloucestercitynews.net files PHILADELPHIA (Dec. 31, 2020)-- – First Assistant United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams announced that Arleny Reyes Nunez, 42, of Philadelphia, PA and the Dominican Republic, was sentenced to 30 months in prison and three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $154,528 in restitution by United States District Judge Harvey Bartle III, for using the personal identification information of others to file fraudulent tax returns, resulting in more than $150,000 in losses to the federal government. In August 2020, the defendant pleaded guilty to charges of criminal conspiracy to defraud the federal government, theft of government funds, and the unlawful possession and use of a means of identification. Senior Freeze Property Tax Reimbursement Deadline Extended

Eligible Applicants Now Have Until February 1st to Apply for Relief (TRENTON) – State Treasurer Elizabeth Maher Muoio announced today that New Jersey property owners who are eligible for the Senior Freeze property tax reimbursement program will have an additional month to apply for the relief program, with the application deadline now being extended until February 1, 2021. New Jersey’s Senior Freeze program reimburses eligible senior citizens and disabled individuals for increases in property taxes or mobile home park site fees on their principal residence. The COVID-19 pandemic has presented ongoing challenges in obtaining the paperwork needed from local governments in order to complete the application, prompting Treasury’s Division of Taxation to extend the deadline for a second time. Father of 2-Year-Old Child Charged with Murdering Son

BUCKS COUNTY, PA--The Middletown Township Police Department and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office are continuing to investigate the Wednesday night, December 2, death of a 2-year-old child at the Racquet Club Apartments, 1970 Veterans Highway, Middletown Township. The boy's father, Jordan M. Thornton, 27, of Philadelphia, was charged Thursday with endangering the welfare of a child. He was sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility under $500,000 bail, 10 percent. Middletown police were dispatched to the Racquet Club Apartments at 8:49 p.m. for a medical 911 call indicating a child had fallen with his skull cracked open. When the first officer arrived, he found Thornton standing outside an apartment holding a male child with a bloody head wound. SEATTLE — Since the beginning of 2020, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officers in Seattle have seized several food trucks and trailers that were imported by well-meaning entrepreneurs. Quite often, these ready to work kitchens on wheels do not meet Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The online deals may look great, but in reality, the seizure of these trailers and the fees associated with inspection, storage, seizure, and disposal can cost an unwitting importer tens of thousands of dollars. CBP is urging individuals to use caution when purchasing food trucks and trailers online. Many such vehicles do not meet safety standards in the U.S. and the importation will not be allowed. BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA--(December 28, 2020)--Detectives with the Bristol Township Police Department and the Bucks County District Attorney's Office continue to investigate the shooting death of a young man in Bristol Township on Wednesday night. The victim has been identified as Shaquille Love, 21 of Bristol Township. An autopsy determined Love died of a single gunshot wound and the manner of death was a homicide. Bristol Township police were dispatched at 7:08 p.m. on Dec. 23, 2020 to the area of Edgely Road and Marion Avenue for a reported shooting. There, police found a Chrysler 200 stopped in the northbound lane of Edgely Road with the driver dead inside. The investigation determined the driver was shot and killed through the driver’s side window. Phil Murphy this month urging him to keep the seafood industry’s workers as a high-priority group for COVID-19 vaccinations. Camden City, N.J. — Detectives are searching for a missing and endangered man, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Pine Hill Police Chief Christopher Winters. Massey in 2018 Shawn Massey, 38, of Gibbsboro, was reported missing to Pine Hill Police by family members who said he was last seen leaving his parents’ home on Dec. 23 and has not been heard from since. Massey has diagnosed with mental health issues, according to family members. Police said he has been known to possibly become aggressive if approached. Detectives urge anyone who sees Massey or knows his whereabouts not to make contact with him and instead call law enforcement. Frank Ryan, said an analysis of data pulled from DoS/SURE system records indicate that although only 6.7 million residents voted on Nov. 3, more than 6.9 million ballots were cast and included in the state’s certified results. Tacony-Palmyra Bridge PALMYRA NJ (December 29, 2020)(CNBNews)- Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Burlington County Bridge Commission Director of Public Safety Patrick J. Reilly, Jr. announced that the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and Burlington County Bridge Commission Police Department are investigating a multi-car collision that occurred on the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge at 6:49 p.m. last night, killing one person. The crash occurred when two cars heading westbound towards Philadelphia appeared to be speeding and one car clipped the other sending it into the eastbound lane, where it struck a Honda Civic head-on. The driver of the Civic was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which ultimately involved five vehicles. Five individuals were taken to the hospital with various injuries, none of which appear to be life threatening. The name of the decedent is being withheld pending notification to their family.
