PHILADELPHIA PA (November 8, 2020)--(CNBNewsnet)--The holiday season shines bright in Philadelphia as attractions with glowing traditions, both new and old, light up the region year after year. Travel news 3

For 2020, the Greater Philadelphia region stuns with holiday light shows and light displays that make seeking out these colorful creations one of the best things to do for the holidays in Philly.

Many of the city’s dazzling displays return, including the City Hall’s Visit Philly Holiday Tree, the Electrical Spectacle Light Show at Franklin Square and the pop ups (ice rink, cabin and wintergarden) that make up Winter at Dilworth Park.

Regional attractions like Peddler’s VillageLongwood Gardens and Shady Brook Farm also light up the beauty of the holiday, while new-for-2020 attractions like the drive-thru PHestivaL of Trees in Oaks and the massive Winter on Broad Street display at the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, welcome visitors for the first time.

Of course, the holidays in Greater Philadelphia are different for 2020. Masks are required in all public spaces, as is social distancing. And advance tickets are highly recommended or required at many events and attractions. (Plus, some events, like Macy’s Christmas Light Show, have gone all-virtual for 2020.) Your best bet: Plan ahead. Look online or call to get a better sense of what experience to expect. Read more here.

Bask in the glow of the season with this spotlight on our favorite holiday light displays throughout the Philadelphia region.
