Lions win delayed Turkey Day Game against Rams 48 - 0

(GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ Nov. 28, 2020)--The local Lions had two weeks of no practice / no contact because of Covid-19 and returned for preparation against the hometown rival Rams on Friday.

The Lions showed no rust while crushing the Rams behind 4 touchdowns (3 rushing / 1 receiving) by Stephen Burkhardt.  Burkhardt on the day rushed for 241 yards and scored on runs of 44, 92, and 10 yards. Burkhardt was on the scoring end of a 36-yard pass from Adrian Delgado.

Qb Adrian Degado was not to be outdone by fellow backs Burkhardt and Nelson when he picked up a Rams fumble by QB Foster and returned it 93 yards for a Lions touchdown. Lions Tyler Morris scored from 12 yards out to finish off the Rams.

The win was a revenge win from last year when Rams Ben Wilkis scored late to give the Rams a 4 game winning streak against the Lions.
