Glassboro Homicide Investigation Leads to the Arrest of Victim's Husband

GLASSBORO, NJ--On October 1, 2020, the Glassboro Police Department was dispatched to 104 Somerset Road, Glassboro, NJ for a report of an unconscious female. Upon arrival, officers discovered Sarah Wilson, age 76, deceased inside the residence. An autopsy conducted by the Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the chest.
The investigation by the Glassboro Police Department and the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office into Sarah Wilson’s death led to the arrest of husband Stanley Wilson, age 78 of the same address for Murder, 2C:11-3A(1). Stanley Wilson was processed and detained in the Salem County Correctional Facility pending further court proceedings.
Despite the charge, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of their rights as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State Law.
