Dominic M. Antonini, of Gibbstown, former NFL Player, Excelled in Football/Baseball at Rowan

 
 

Passed away on October 8, 2020 of Gibbstown, NJ, age 66yrs.  Beloved husband of Vicki (nee Feldman).  Devoted father of Dominic Antonini (Lori), Jeremy Mendenhall, Garrett Mendenhall, Jr. (Amber), Michael Mendenhall (Kristie), Rachel Antonini (Pete), Anthony Antonini, and Angela Antonini.  Loving Pop-Pop of Eric, Devon, Grace, Emme, and Tessa.  Dear brother of Ernest Antonini (Jean), Joseph Antonini (Cathy), and the late Paul Antonini (Terry). 

 

Dominic graduated from Triton High School in 1972 and went on to Rowan University where he excelled in Baseball and Football.  Although he was drafted by both professional baseball and football teams, he chose to play for the NY Jets and Philadelphia Eagles.  Known by many as "Coach Dom," he coached many youth sports throughout Gloucester County.  He was inducted into both the Gloucester County and Rowan University Sports Hall of Fame.  He was a member of the Touch Down Club of SJ as well as the Son's of Italy.  Professionally, Dom was employed with Federici & Aiken and was a successful home builder. 

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 54 at 10:30 am at St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Michael's Church, Memorial Avenue, Gibbstown NJ. (THERE WILL BE NO VIEWING on Thursday prior to Mass) Interment will be private.
