This fully equipped ambulance boasts the most modern cutting-edge technology that any rescue squad needs and the Bucks County Rescue Squad was excited to be recipients of such a valuable donation.

Sponsorships

The Bucks County Rescue Squad received this new ambulance thanks to a Redevelopment Authority of Bucks County grant. The grand was funded by PA online gambling giant Parx Casino, based in Bensalem. This company recently took its operations online and now offers gamblers casino games such as poker, blackjack, and roulette in addition to live sports betting. Revenues have continued to grow despite lockdown measures, thanks to Parx’s move online before COVID-19 struck.

As part of its corporate and social responsibility initiative, Parx Casino funded a grant by donating a portion of its gross terminal revenue proceeds to the Redevelopment Authority.

Bucks County Rescue Squad Chief Marty Liczbinski was delighted to host a press conference unveiling their new ambulance, taking journalists and camera operators on a tour inside to show off its lifesaving equipment, which includes a modern mobile data terminal that works as a tablet. Bristol Borough Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe and State Senator Tommy Tomlinson attended the event.

Time for a change

According to Chief Liczbinski, an average ambulance has a lifespan of seven or eight years. Given financial constraints and a lack of funding, the Bucks County Rescue Squad could not replace one of theirs until Parx Casino’s recent generous donation. The company donated $133,000, which, together with $10,000 received for a trade-in of a 2009 model, funded the new one.

Bucks County rejuvenation

Parx is working with authorities to bring more tourists to Bucks County as it generates much-needed income for local businesses. The company viewed an investment in a new ambulance as an essential service for residents and tourists who choose to visit Bucks county.

Bucks County offers visitors a scenic road trip and the promise of a great gambling experience for those that visit the Parx Casino in Bensalem. Even those that do not tour the area can do their part by using Parx’s online gambling facilities.

A percentage is donated to worthwhile causes in surrounding areas. This year, authorities chose the Bucks County Rescue Squad because of its outstanding service record and the vital assistance it renders to all residents and visitors.
