Louisville, Kentucky (Sept. 25, 2020)-- Anarchists unload signs and weapons from a U-Haul following the announcement on Wednesday, Sept. 23, that officers Sgt. Jon Mattingly and Detective Miles Cosgrove who fired their weapons at Breonna Taylor’s home were deemed justified in the shooting. Det. Brett Hankison, was charged with first-degree wanton endangering the lives of people inside the apartment next door.
The main stream media reported the protests following the Grand Jury's decision were spontaneous. However, according to the Gateway Pundit, the rioters were actually being supported by the Louisville Bail Initiative .
Holly Zoller, a member of the Lousiville Bail Initiative signed the lease for the U-haul. The rented truck was loaded with shields, painted with anti-police messages, umbrellas, gas masks, and other riot supplies.
According to the Louisville Bail Initiative website Zoller is the founding organizer and board member of Louisville Books to Prisoners, a nonprofit organization aimed at putting books into the hands of people living behind bars. In addition, Holly coordinates volunteers for Food Not Bombs, a group that provides fresh and shelf-stable food to a community in the center of Louisville’s food desert and has organized around anti-fascist movements. Prior to joining TBP, Holly owned a gardening company, worked as a sous chef, and as a professional organizer. Holly lives in Louisville with her three daughters.
Could the Louisville Bail Initiative be indicted for supplying the rioters and inciting a riot? That question remains unanswered.
