Gloucester Township Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Traffic Accident

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ--Saturday, September 26, 2020 at approximately 9:00 PM officers responded to the Cherrywood Apartments, 1200 Little Gloucester Rd. 
for a reported pedestrian motor vehicle crash. Arriving officers found the victim, in the middle of a back driveway. The victim had obvious serious injuries to her lower extremities. As officers began to treat the victim, they observed both the victim's legs had sustained compound fractures, between the knee and ankle. Officers applied tourniquets to both legs, and attempted to stabilize the victim. The victim was transported to Cooper Trauma Center by Paramedics.
The driver of the striking vehicle remained on location, and was uninjured. At the time of release the victim is listed in Serious but Stable condition. The crash in currently under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team (S.C.I.T). The victim's name is being withheld pending further investigation.
