The “new normal” of the pandemic offers a great opportunity for your family to work on Fido’s social skills. There are many tutorials on YouTube and elsewhere that can greatly add to learning, grooming, and generally caring for your family’s pets.
When viewing these tutorials keep in mind that your dog deserves gentle and respectful treatment. That means no physical corrections of any kind including the use of electronic collars which can cause fear and injury, or choke collars which can cause a multitude of injuries to the neck and throat of your dog.
Take five or ten minutes each day to work with your best buddy on basic commands. Walk him around the block and initiate the ‘stay’, ‘sit’, and ‘walk by my side’ protocols. Use a martingale collar or a harness for cruelty-free adventures.
Both you and your dog will benefit greatly when you take the time to exercise and further train him!
If you have questions about this or any other dog-related issue please call or test 856.981.8957 or email brotherofthewolf@live.com. There is never a fee for this type of consultation.
