Route 130 northbound ramp closed and detoured for several weeks


(Trenton) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced a daytime closure of the ramp from Route 130 southbound to the Animated_Jack_Hammer_Man_Funny-1smBetsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 westbound and a long-term closure of the ramp from Route 130 northbound to the Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 westbound as a concrete repair project advances in Pennsauken, Camden County.  

 

Thursday, October 1

Beginning at 9 a.m., Thursday, October 1, until 3 p.m. that afternoon, the Delaware River Port Authority’s contractor, South State, is scheduled to close and detour the ramp from Route 130 southbound to the Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 westbound.  This closure will allow the contractor to complete paving on the ramp.  The following signed detour will be in place:

 

Route 130 southbound to Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 westbound detour:

  • Motorists traveling southbound on Route 130 wishing to take the ramp to Route 90 westbound/Betsy Ross Bridge will be directed to continue on Route 130 southbound
  • Use the right lane to turn onto the ramp to Union Avenue/Delair
  • Turn left onto Union Avenue
  • Turn left onto Route 130 northbound
  • Keep right and take the ramp to Route 90 westbound/Betsy Ross Bridge towards Philadelphia

 

Monday, October 5

 

Beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, October 5, the ramp from Route 130 northbound to the Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 westbound is scheduled to be closed and detoured.  This closure will allow the contractor to make concrete repairs, install new deck joints and mill and pave the ramp.  The following singed detour is anticipated to remain in place for approximately five weeks:

Route 130 northbound to Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 westbound detour:

  • Motorists traveling on Route 130 northbound wishing to take the ramp to the Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 westbound will be directed to continue on Route 130 northbound
  • Keep right and take the ramp towards Route 73 northbound/Tacony Bridge
  • Merge onto Route 73 northbound and keep right
  • Turn right onto the ramp to Route 130 southbound/Pennsauken/Camden
  • Merge onto Route 130 southbound
  • Keep left and turn left onto the ramp to the Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 westbound

Variable Message Signs are being utilized to provide advance notification to the motoring public of all traffic pattern changes associated with the work. NJDOT will provide information before any lane closures are scheduled.
