Three Rowan Men's Basketball Players Named to NABC Honors Court

Kansas City, MO - Rowan men’s basketball players Austin Kearney, Ryan Legler and Marko Pantovic were named to the 2019-20 NABC Honors Court, while the Profs received a Team Academic Excellence Award, as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. 


The Profs’ trio were among 1,350 men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the 2019-20 season. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior who owns a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher at the end of the academic year. 


Additionally, Rowan was among the teams to be recognized with a Team Excellence Award to recognize outstanding academic achievement with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2019-20 season. The award is in its eighth year as created by the NABC Committee on Academics. 


Kearney (Monroeville, NJ/Gloucester County Christian) graduated from Rowan with his bachelor’s degree in business marketing. Legler (Stone Harbor, NJ/Wildwood Catholic HS), who had his season cut short by an injury, is a junior business management major. Pantovic (Belgrade, Serbia), also a junior, is majoring in computer science.
