NEW ORLEANS, LA – Rowan University’s Vincent Delle, Kevin Lauer and Jake Kolodziej were named All-Academic Athletes by the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches (USTFCCCA) while the entire Profs’ squad was recognized as an All-Academic Team.

In Division III, a total of 325 student-athletes from 107 institutions received the individual honor, while Rowan was one of 199 teams cited for its academics as the Profs maintained a GPA of 3.29.

Delle (Williamstown, NJ/Old Bridge), a junior elementary education major, was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society this year while Lauer (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape), a sophomore computing and informatics major, was chosen to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team.  Both were named Rowan Scholar-Athletes of Distinction and NJAC All-Academic honorable mention selections.

Delle and Lauer earned All-America status as members of the distance medley relay, while also earning All-Atlantic Region honors.  That relay qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships with a time of 10:06.06 while garnering a first-place finish at the All-Atlantic Region Championships.

Kolodziej (Turnersville, NJ/Washington Twp. HS) earned All-America status on the 4x400 meter relay and was part of that relay that ran a winning and NCAA-qualifying time of 3:17.02 at the All-Atlantic Region Indoor Championships. The sophomore health & exercise science major received USTFCCCA All-Atlantic Region honors for that relay and was also a member of the first place 4x800 meter relay that earned All-NJAC First Team honors.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, student-athletes must own a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher and have either competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship, or finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or in the national top-35 in a relay on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

Rowan won its sixth straight NJAC Championship and third consecutive All-Atlantic Region title during the 2019-20 indoor season.
