Rowan College Preparing for Campus Return

RCSJ is committed to a campus return that will provide a safe learning environment for Fall 2020.

As always, the health and safety of our RCSJ community is our top priority. To accomplish our goal of opening campus, we have developed an extensive plan that offers safe and flexible options for participation in classes and activities in compliance with government directives, public health guidance and higher education best practices.

Key Points

  • The Fall semester will begin as scheduled on  Tuesday, September 1, and will conclude on  Saturday, December 12. Courses for the Fall semester will be delivered as online, hybrid, and live online (real-time class meetings using Zoom).

    Hybrids for Fall

Hybrid sessions will be offered for specific classes and programs that require a laboratory, clinical/internships, and hands-on work for accreditation, licensing, and for students to achieve the knowledge necessary for success in their fields of study.

    Live Online & Online

Any traditional face-to-face courses that were not converted to Hybrid will be delivered as either Live Online or Online to ensure the safety of students.

  • RCSJ is making a substantial investment in instructional technology to enable high-quality delivery of all class content to support the Live Online modality that will permit students to interact with their instructors and classmates digitally while maintaining safe physical distancing.
