Robert S. Chew Sr. of Audubon, formerly of Gloucester City, Past Member of Sportsmen AC Club

 

AUDUBON, NJ--Robert S. Chew Sr. age 75 years of Audubon died Tuesday June 30, 2020 in his home. Mr. Chew was born in Camden, raised in Gloucester City and lived in Gibbstown and West Deptford for many years. He was a past member of the Sportsmen’s A.C. Club in Gloucester City. Mr. Chew enjoyed Screen Shot 2020-07-03 at 12.26.06attending his children’s sporting events while they were growing up and he was an avid “Gray Raider” at Paulsboro football games.


He is survived by his children, Robin Chew-Fisher of Audubon, Robert Jr. and Lisa Chew of Gibbstown and Kevin Chew of Gloucester City; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; his brothers, Samuel Chew of Gloucester, James Chew (Shirley) of Bridgeton; his sisters, Kathleen Pyle (Buzz) of Williamstown and Barbara Yates (Ronnie) of Gloucester. Mr. Chew was predeceased by his wife, Fayetta Chew, his infant daughter, Danielle Chew; his sisters, Ann Davis and Carol “Sissy” Raube, his brother, Dennis Chew and his parents Samuel and Evelyn Chew of Gloucester City.


Funeral services were under the direction of the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Graveside services were held at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Memories can be shared at www.mcbridefoleyfh.com.
