A salvage vehicle is one that has been wrecked, destroyed or damaged to such an extent that the insurance company considers it uneconomical to repair. These vehicles can be repaired and re-sold in certain circumstances, pending proper inspection and titling in New Jersey.

Salvage vehicle inspections can be scheduled for as early as August 3. Appointments can be scheduled by contacting the following salvage inspection sites:

  • Westfield – 908-232-6396
  • Asbury Park – 732-869-8333
  • Winslow – 609-567-0190

The MVC also will be reaching out to those whose appointments were cancelled due to the shutdown to assist them in rescheduling.
