On July 3, 2020 at approximately 8:20 pm, the Gloucester Township Police Department's Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a house fire at 5 Thisleton Road in Fire the Sicklerville section of Gloucester Township. Arriving Officers observed smoke coming from the interior of the residence and a small fire on the first floor in the kitchen area. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshall but is believed to be accidental.

This incident is a good reminder to check the batteries in your smoke detectors and ensure that are working properly in the event they are ever needed.
