Jefferson Health New Jersey is ranked as the 9th-best hospital

Jefferson Health New Jersey is ranked as the 9th-best hospital in New Jersey and the 11th-best in the Philadelphia metropolitan area in the just-released “Best Hospitals” ranking Screen Shot 2020-07-29 at 19.27.21by U.S. News & World Report. Comprised of three acute care hospitals – located in Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township – Jefferson Health New Jersey is also “Recognized in Southern New Jersey” in the rankings for its quality care.

U.S. News & World Report also praised Jefferson New Jersey as “High Performing” in four specific clinical areas: Congestive Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Knee Replacement surgery and Hip Replacement surgery.

The annual rankings, now in their 31st year, are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care.

Jefferson NJ President & Chief Operating Officer Brian Sweeney says the “the U.S. News & World Report rankings serve as confirmation that South Jersey residents can access world-class care right in their own communities, at Jefferson hospitals.”

Now in its 31st year, for the 2020-2021 rankings, U.S. News & World Report evaluated nearly every hospital nationwide—more than 4,500 in total. Its rankings are “based largely on objective measures such as risk-adjusted survival and discharge-to-home rates, volume, and quality of nursing, among other care-related indicators,” according to U.S. News.
