 TRENTON (July 29, 2020) –New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey, today visited Brenda’s Inc. (also known as The Corner Store II) at 110 John F. Kennedy Blvd. in Bayonne, in Hudson County. Carey presented The Corner Store II’s owner, Vijaykumar Patel, with a ceremonial check for $30,000 representing the bonus commission the store receives for selling the winning Mega Millions jackpot ticket from the Friday, July 24, drawing.

 “Congratulations to The Corner Store II and owner Vijaykumar Patel for selling this winning ticket. The win has made this local retailer an immensely popular place. It will continue to be known around the country as a very “lucky Lottery store,” Carey said. “We are thrilled that the New Jersey Lottery brand can assist our State’s business owners, large and small, with brand building by offering Lottery products that encourage consumer traffic into their stores.”

The winning numbers for the Friday, July 24, drawing were: 08, 33, 39, 54, and 58. The Gold Mega Ball was 17. The Megaplier Multiplier was 03. The Mega Millions jackpot resets to $20,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Tuesday, July 28, at 11:00 pm. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 pm to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets cost just two dollars; by adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
