DAISY Champion Award Presented to Jefferson Health NJ’s Roisin Welsh

Roisin Welsh

Jefferson Health New Jersey Senior Magnet Data Analyst Roisin Welsh, MLSshown right, was recently presented with the DAISY Champion Award. The DAISY Foundation™ defines a Champion as someone who has worked diligently to make the DAISY Award program meaningful for nurses and successful for an organization. Jefferson Health New Jersey partnered with the DAISY Foundation in 2015 to recognize its nursing staff for its positive impact on patients and families. Since then, more than 70 Jefferson New Jersey nurses have been honored with the DAISY Award.

Welsh, a resident of West Berlin, NJ, has been instrumental in developing the process for nomination submissions, committee review, and award presentations. Chief Nursing Officer Helene Burns, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, shown left, said “the DAISY Award is held in high esteem at our organization, and its success is a direct result of the respect Roisin has for nurses and her commitment to recognize their contributions.”
