Growth in Tree Canopy in Philadelphia Shows Decrease in Human Mortality

Philadelphia, PA, June, 2020 - The first city-wide health impact assessment of the estimated effects of a tree canopy initiative on premature mortality in Philadelphia suggests that increased tree canopy could prevent between 271 and 400 premature deaths per year. DELANCO, N.J. — The Coast Guard and local partner agencies are searching for a missing 22-year-old male swimmer in the vicinity of Delanco on the Delaware River, Sunday afternoon. Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders received a relayed report from the City of Burlington Police Department Dispatch notifying them of the missing person.
