Keeping Home Pool Water Safe During COVID-19 Crisis

Budd’s Pools & Spas Offers FREE At-Home Water Testing

For Pools and Hot Tubs

Deptford, N.J.—As pools get uncovered and the summer swimming season approaches, COVID-19 store closures have made testing of water safety difficult for home pool owners to obtain. In response Budd’s Pools & Spas in Deptford, N.J., is offering free at-home water Consumer alerts 2testing.

General Manager Chris Volk says he wants to make sure that area pool and hot tub owners continue to have access to professional testing and advice. "This is an essential service for pool and hot tub owners," he says."When water isn’t properly tested, people can end up getting anything from a mild skin rash to serious illness."

Volk, who admits on his blog that he brings his own water test kit on vacations, says you can’t assume water is safe just because it looks clear. "This summer keeping water safe is more important than ever. You’re going to see a lot more people staying home and spending more time in home pools and spas. I’m already hearing from people saying they’ve cancelled their summer travel and plan to make home their summer resort."

Budd’s Pools & Spas’ skilled technicians will have any needed chemicals and supplies on hand at the time of testing, but no purchase is necessary for the free testing and there’s no delivery charge for any supplies purchased. To request a free water test, call 856-845-9000 Extension 404. Due to high demand, Volk asks that you limit test requests to one per week.
