If you haven’t paid your 2020 Real Estate Tax bill already, you now have an additional month and a half to do so. This is the second time we’ve moved the deadline in response to the pandemic.

If you can pay before June 15, please do so. Real Estate Tax revenue is vital to the School District of Philadelphia and essential City services, including emergency management.

Although we can’t accept in-person payments at this time, there are many, convenient ways to pay:

  • Online – Pay with eCheck (FREE); debit or credit card (fees apply),
  • By calling (877) 309-3710 – Pay with eCheck (FREE); debit or credit card (fees apply),
  • By mailing a check or money order to:
    Department of Revenue
    P.O. Box 8409
    Philadelphia, PA 19101-8409

IMPORTANT: You must mail a Real Estate Tax payment coupon with your check or money order. Need a new Real Estate Tax coupon? Watch this video to learn how to print a coupon yourself.

Many Philly residents paid their 2020 Real Estate Tax before the last day of February. In doing so, they took advantage of the 1% discount offered for early payment.

Get property tax relief

We offer a number of property tax relief programs to residents struggling with their finances.

Normally, our staff is ready to process applications for payment assistance programs as we receive them. However, in order to comply with the required social distancing rules, we must currently limit the amount of people working on-site.

We will resume processing assistance programs applications as soon as possible, and in the order received. Taxpayers who are unable to get into a payment agreement will not be subject to enforcement action while our offices are closed. Sheriff Sales are temporarily on hold and we’ve suspended new placements of delinquent accounts to outside collection agencies until further notice.

Visit our website, or email [email protected] for more information about our property tax relief programs.
