Cars and a Home Struck by Bullets in Riverview Hts. Section of Gloucester City; Police Investigating

(GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ)(April 30, 2020)--CNBNews received a tip this evening from a Gloucester City resident who asked about a car being hit by bullets on Thursday morning (April 30, 2020) in the Riverview Heights section of the 6a00d8341bf7d953ef019afff9d462970d-320wiCity. 

Police Lt. Steve Burkhardt, spokesperson for the Gloucester City Police said, "On Thursday, April 30 at 10:21 AM police were dispatched to the 900 Block of Powell Street for a vandalism report. Upon arrival, it was determined that two vehicles parked in the 900 block of Powell near Lane Avenue had been struck by bullets. Further investigation led to the discovery of a third vehicle and a residence on Lane Avenue near Little Hunter being struck by bullets also."

Burkhardt said,  "Some residents reported hearing what sounded like several gunshots in the area between 8:30 AM and 9 AM; however we received no calls regarding gun shots. "

Police are asking if anyone has any information or home/business surveillance video in the area of the gunshots (800-900 block of Powell, Lane and Little Hunter Streets, 800 and 900 blocks of Market Street) to call the detective bureau 856-456-7797
