Millville (Delaware) Fire Company’s Outdoorsman Marketplace Show, This Saturday

MILLVILLE, DELAWARE--This Saturday,  January 11th, at 7 AM to 3 PM is the second annual Millville Fire Company’s Outdoorsman Marketplace, benefiting the Millville Volunteer Fire Company to help raise money for a new fire hall. This is an “outdoorsman” show that is inside the Millville fire hall, located on 35554 Atlantic Ave, in Millville, DE. Entry fee for the public is $5 at the door. Each entry receives a door prize ticket. The ladies auxiliary will have breakfast and lunch available in the main area, come hungry they make amazing food.

The Millville Fire Company’s Outdoorsman Marketplace has some great door prizes this year; Delaware State Parks has donated a weekend cabin stay at Trap Pond Pond State Park, East Coast Campers and More donated a electric tongue jack, Bob’s Marine donated an electric Flare kit, Icehoues Bait and Tackle donated a kayak tackle box, DS Custom Tackle donated a surf package (all the gear you need to fish the surf), DSF is donating Hoodies and T shirts from the DSF’s Summer Surf Fishing Slam Series. Indian River Gold Cars donated a $100 gift card. There are more donated items at the show on January 11th, don’t miss out on a chance for some great items.

The Second Annual Millville Fire Company’s Outdoorsman Marketplace has more fishing and hunting vendors, the firearms simulator from Atlantic Tactical Firearms Trainers is returning. Also Virtual Reality games the kids and adults will enjoy. Boats, RVs, nautical themed crafts, and antiques. Icehouse Bait and Tackle is setting up a tackle shop at the event, with deals at 30 to 50% off!

There will be a Chinese auction with donated vendor items, you do not have to be present to win. Aqua-cultured oysters from Dewey Selects will be available, What The Shuck It’s Only A Buck, all proceeds go to the Millville Fire Company. Learn about the inland bay oyster farming as well as invasive species from the University of Delaware. Oysters will be available at 10 AM.

 

The gun raffle will start at 7 AM by G&E Hocker's. Rules for the gun raffles, these are important. You have to know ahead of time that you will pass a background check to participate. In other words if you know you can’t own a gun, you cannot try to win one.
Guns will be raffled with a deck of cards per gun, 54 cards in the deck (jokers included) $20 per card. Some guns will be $10 per card. Guns are donated by G & E Hardware and have to be picked up from there the day after the event (Sunday the 13th) for a period of time. There will is no cash equivalent. Participants must be sure they can pass a background check prior to participating in the raffle. Chances are nontransferable. All monies raised will benefit the Millville Volunteer Fire Company.
