Gloucestercitynews.net (December 23, 2019)--This year we saw several new changes with the WWE brand structure. We saw the rise of NXT. The black and gold brand which used to be known as WWE's development brand initiated this year's Survivor Series pay-per-view. The rise to glory and stature equivalent to Raw and SmackDown is a result of hard work and determination of the wrestlers drafted to it. And a large share of the
black and gold brand's dominance can be attributed to Rhea Ripley.
Demi Bennett a.k.Rhea Ripley is an Australian professional wrestler. She is currently signed to WWE, as part of WWE's NXT UK and NXT brands under the ring name Rhea Ripley. Rhea Ripley is just 23-years old and has already managed to take the entire wrestling world by storm since she debuted on NXT in October 2017.
Recently, Rhea has been roaring at NXT with such dominance that she is being heard even at the red and the blue brands of WWE. Two nights before the Survivor Series, we saw a dream triple threat match between Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Rhea Ripley. And guess who won the match. Rhea pinned Charlotte Flair while she had Sasha trapped in a Figure-Eight.
Rhea is destined for greatness at WWE. It is the opinion of most of the experts and fans alike. However, this statement is backed up by her recent WWE Results more than anything. Eve the RAW Women's Champion, Becky Lynch could not escape Riley.
Ripley was also the winner of the first-ever women's WarGames match at Takeover which she won by pinning NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler at a match which was essentially a 4-on-2 handicap match.
With consecutive performances, Riley has undoubtedly established herself as the next big thing on women's division in WWE.
It wouldn't be wrong if we say that Ripley has been carrying the penchant of NXT. AT Survivor Series PPV and during her match against Becky Lynch or her triple threat match against Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks, Rhea had the audience chanting “NXT!” as soon as she entered the arena.
Rhea Ripley stands right at the start of the line for an NXT Women’s Championship match against Shayna Baszler according to fan polls. Also after Baszler won against Becky Lynch and Bayley at Survivor Series, there have been speculations that “The Queen of Spades” might make a jump Raw or SmackDown from NXT sooner or later.
This will ultimately leave the doors open for Ripley. Rhea who is already acting as the leader of the women's division in NXT without a championship and amongst the greats of the brand such as Bianca Belair, Candice LeRae, and the newly villainous Dakota Kai, can be expected to rise to such an occasion and get crowned the new Champion. Rhea who is just 23, is a star in the making. With years to come, she will basically rule the world of WWE Divas just like she rules the Survivor Series with her performances.
