For the tenth year in a row, employees of Cooper University Health Care came together to help local families in need this holiday season.
Cooper employees “adopted” more than 500 people and generously donated 3,000 toys, 2,000 items of clothing, 120 home and kitchen goods, and 150 gift cards for groceries to fulfill holiday wishes for children and their families.
“Cooper employees go above and beyond to spread joy to our neighbors in need,” stated Susan Bass Levin, President & CEO of The Cooper Foundation. “It’s the season of hope and promise and I am so proud of the Cooper team for supporting this effort.”
Cooper's Adopt-A-Family effort is part of Volunteers of America Delaware Valley's (VOADV) mission to bring joy to hundreds of people experiencing challenges during the holiday season.
“The families receiving gifts provided by Cooper employees were absolutely blown away by your generosity," said Mark Moorhouse, Development and Communications Assistant at VOADV. "So many tears, hugs, and laughs, mostly on your behalf and I was proud to tell them where the gifts came from."
