Enhanced Patrol And Automatic License Plate Reader Help Lead To Arrest Of Subject For Stealing Wiring

 

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ (Nov. 7, 2019)--On Saturday November 2, 2019 at approximately 6:14AM a theft of wiring occurred at a local business on Jarvis Road in Gloucester Township.   A check of surveillance cameras in the area provided a suspect and suspect vehicle description to officers so that a follow up investigation can be conducted.  A Gloucester Township Police Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) was utilized and a suspect vehicle was identified.

On Wednesday November 6, 2019 at approximately 10:53PM while officers were on enhanced patrol in the area of Sicklerville Road and Stonebridge Drive the suspect vehicle was located.  A motor vehicle stop was conducted.  The vehicle was being driven by Derrick Niblic.  He was transported to headquarters for a follow up investigation which lead to Derrick Niblic being charged with the theft.
 
Derrick Niblic was charged with Theft, a disorderly persons offense.  He was released on a criminal summons.
