BEVERLY NJ (November 15, 2019)--Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and City of Beverly Public Safety Director Rich Wolbert announced today that a city man has been arrested on multiple drug charges.
Ronald D. Caffee, 35, (photo) of the 200 block of Laurel Street, was charged with Distribution of Crack Cocaine within 500 Feet of a Public Park (Second Degree), Distribution of Crack Cocaine within 500 Feet of Public Housing (Second Degree), two counts of Possession of Crack Cocaine (Third Degree), two counts of Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute (Third Degree), and two counts of Distribution of Crack Cocaine (Third Degree).
During the investigation, a .45 caliber handgun was seized that contained hollow-point ammunition and a high-capacity magazine. No charges have been filed in connection with the firearm.
Caffee was taken into custody on October 18 by members of the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department Warrant Unit while at the Burlington County Courts Facility on an unrelated matter.
The case will now be prepared for presentation to a Burlington County grand jury.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Michael Angermeier, supervisor of the BCPO Gang, Gun and Narcotics Task Force. The investigation was conducted by detectives from the GGNTF and members of the City of Beverly Police Department.
All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
