Tyriq Smith, 20, of Camden City Fatally Shot

 

Gloucestercitynews.net--CAMDEN CITY, NJ--Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a homicide that occurred in the city.

The Camden County Police Department was made aware of a ShotSpotter activation near the 1700 block of Mount Ephraim Avenue at Screen Shot 2019-05-04 at 11.20.47approximately 12:50 a.m. When officers responded, they located the victim, Tyriq Smith, 20, of Camden, on the 1200 block of Sheridan Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Tyriq Smith was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 1:08 a.m.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and there is no further information being released at this time. No arrests have been made at this time.
