Join us in a celebration of authentic international cuisine and culture at our 11th Annual Festival on Sept 6 (Fri), Sept 7 (Sat), and Sept 8 (Sun), 2019at St Stephen the Protomartyr Orthodox Church on 609 Lane Ave in South Plainfield (next to the high school).

FESTIVAL! This fun-filled, three-day Festival is a wonderful family event that each year draws hundreds of visitors from across New Jersey. Along with the exquisite food, come visit us and enjoy the car show, live music, firetruck, folk dancers, games, raffles, shopping, and fun for young and old alike.

FOOD! Our authentic international food is cooked the old-fashioned way — by hard-working members of the parish on church premises, using family recipes, all-natural ingredients and lots of tender, loving care.  All weekend you can enjoy a wide selection of these traditional delicacies including hummus, falafel, chicken kabob, gyros, spanakopita (spinach pie), dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), pierogies, and stuffed cabbage.  Among the selection of home-made pastries are baklava (walnut strudel) and harriseh (a scrumptious Lebanese dessert you won’t want to miss!).  Eat-in on the church premises or take-out to enjoy at home.   Enjoy a glass of wine or beer, too.

FUN!  After enjoying the delicious food, kick up your heels and dance to the live music and participate in a variety of games throughout the weekend.  Each day of the festival will feature a special event.  Enjoy the Car Show on Friday and Middle Eastern Music and Party on Saturday.  On Sunday, don’t miss the folk dancers at 5 pm and the Mega-Raffle at 6 pm.  The proceeds of the festival will go to help our parish and outreach programs including the IOCC (International Orthodox Christian Charities).

We welcome everyone to join the celebration – old friends and friends we have yet to meet!  Please be sure to mark your calendar for this weekend celebration.
