Merryfield Construction Company is Completing Roof Restoration Project
CLAYTON, NJ (Gloucestercitynews.net)- Merryfield Construction Group announced Clayton homeowners Frank and Wendy Errig as the recipients of its 2019 donated new roof installation. Through its Restoration by Donation community outreach program, Merryfield Construction Group seeks to help deserving families facing health and financial challenges secure a new roof.
The Errig’s roof project happens on Wednesday and Thursday, August 28 and 29, through the company’s Restoration by Donation program. The company coordinates and executes planned work days alongside its employees, community volunteers, and partners. So far, the company’s recruited GAF to donate the roofing shingles, Robinson Waste to donate a dumpster and port-a-potty, and Rastelli Fresh Market to donate the lunch for all participants.
The Merryfield brothers, George and Lew, selected the Errig family to receive the new roof after reading a nomination letter from Jordan
Howey, the Errig’s son’s girlfriend of three years. Jordan, a Gloucester Township resident and Rutgers Camden nursing student, described Frank and Wendy Errig as “special people” who face financial and health challenges “with a smile on their faces.” As Wendy waited to receive disability support while being out of work for five years due to a severe back injury, the family kept up as best they could on Frank’s income. They are now climbing out of debt from accumulated medical bills and living expenses. “They are genuinely great and humble people who never ask for help,” Jordan added.
