9 HOSPITALIZED WITH BREATHING PROBLEMS AFTER VAPING

A public health alert released by the state on Friday notified local health departments and healthcare providers of a troubling trend: nine young-ish people (age 17 to 35) were hospitalized for severe pulmonary disease, likely associated with vaping. Some even had to use ventilators. (The Record)

MURPHY ESTABLISHES COUNCIL FOR OFFSHORE WIND

On Friday, Gov. Phil Murphy signed an executive order that creates a new state council for offshore wind. The sector is speeding up: In June, the state's Board of Public Utilities approved Ørsted's bid to build a wind farm near Atlantic City.
