DEVELOPING STORY: Human Skull Found in Gloucester City

 

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (Gloucestercitynews.net)(August 9, 2019)--We received a tip earlier today about police activity in the 100 unit block of South Brown Street. A nearby neighbor said  police were contacted after a human skull was found inside an empty home. CNBNews Exclusive

Lt. Steve Burkhardt, spokesperson for the Gloucester City Police Department said, "At approximately 11:00 am today, workers clearing out a vacant residence on S. Brown Street contacted police to report they found what they believed to be a human skull.  The skull was found in a box, inside the residence.  Preliminary investigation determined the skull was real and very old.  Detectives from Gloucester City Police and the Camden County Prosecutor's Office are investigating.  No further information is available at this time."
