East Brunswick Emergency Vehicle Fatal Crash Under Investigation

EAST BRUNSWICK NJ (Gloucestercitynews.net)--Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey announced today that the August 12 fatal Unknown
crash is under investigation. The crash involved a East Brunswick Fire Department emergency vehicle and a vehicle that contained a married couple from South River.


The crash occurred on Old Bridge Turnpike in the area of Gunia Street in East Brunswick at 7:30 p.m. on August 11, 2019.  Mandatory timely notification of the event was not made by the East Brunswick Police Department to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, which is now examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.  

The couple was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick where both were pronounced deceased.  The names of the victims are not being released until notification has been made to the family.
