GLASSBORO, NJ (Gloucestercitynews.net)– Tickets go on sale Monday, August 5 at 12:00 a.m. for the Wynton Marsalis Quintet at Rowan University on November 8, 2019, part of the 19|20 Marie Rader Presenting Series. Tickets can be purchased online at rowan.tix.com.

The renowned musician leads his quintet for this intimate evening in Pfleeger Concert Hall on the Glassboro campus. A limited number of $100 VIP tickets are available for purchase, and include premium seating and a pre-performance reception, standard orchestra tickets are available for $60 and mezzanine tickets are $40. Wheelchair and companion seats can also be purchased online via rowan.tix.com, and wheelchair accessible parking is available just steps from the venue.

 

Born into a musical family in New Orleans, Marsalis has been hailed as a masterful performer, a big band leader in the tradition of Duke Ellington, a brilliant composer, a devoted advocate for the arts, and a tireless and inspiring educator. Along the way he has earned nine Grammy Awards, the National Medal of Arts, France’s Chevalier of the Legion of Honor, honorary membership to Britain’s Royal Academy of Music, and the George Foster Peabody Award, in addition to being the first jazz musician to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music.

 

This performance is part of the 19|20 Marie Rader Presenting Series, which enriches the university community and the region through expanded performing arts programming.
