State Record Gray Triggerfish Caught (Spearfishing Category)

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ (Gloucestercitynews.net)-(July 24, 2019)--Kevin Cavanagh of Farmingdale made his way onto the state spearfishing record fish list recently by landing a new state record Gray Triggerfish on July 16. Hunting fishing Kevin was free diving off Monmouth Beach when he got the fish. The fish weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces and was 1.5 pounds more than the previous record. The new record gray triggerfish measured 22 inches in length and had a girth of 17.75 inches.
