Lower Township Annual Coombs Douglass Run Moves to Sunday, August 4


LOWER TOWNSHIP, NJ --(GLOUCESTERCITYNEWS.NET)--The Lower Township Police would like residents in the Villas, Town Bank and North Cape May areas to be aware of detours in and around the Town Bank Down the shore 7 and North Cape May area, for the annual Coombs Douglass Run, which will begin Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
Town Bank Road, Clubhouse Road, Miramar Avenue, Beach Drive, Shore Drive and David C. Douglass Park will be closed or detoured.  Douglass Park will be closed prior to the race on Sunday, August 4, 2019, until the end of the run at approximately 8:30 p.m. 
The event will consist of a two-mile and five-mile run. The starting point of the race will be in front of the Town Bank Fire Hall. The majority of the run will occur on Clubhouse Drive, Shore Drive in Town Bank and Beach Drive in North Cape May. Motorists can expect delays and detours in this area, as a great deal of the course will be closed to traffic.  Therefore, motorists are requested to avoid this area during the hours of 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

There will be NO PARKING on Beach and Shore Drives from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
