Avalon Extends Grace Period for Payment of 3rd Quarter Tax Bills

 

AVALON, NJ (July 29, 2019)-(Gloucestercitynews.net)--On Wednesday, July 24th the Avalon Borough Council unanimously approved a resolution to extend the grace period for the payment of 3rd quarter tax bills to August 19, 2019.  This extension was Down the shore 6necessary due to the State of New Jersey approving its budget on June 30, 2019, the last day of the fiscal year.  The County of Cape May certified the tax rate to the Borough of Avalon on July 16, 2019.

As a result of the extension of the grace period, 0% interest will be charged on delinquent tax payments up to, and including, August 19, 2019.  Tax bills were mailed from the Avalon Tax Collector’s Office on Thursday, July 25th.
