Willingboro Man Charged for February Murder; Also Charged with Two Other Murders

WILLINGBORO, NJ (Gloucestercitynews.net) (June 23, 2019)--Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Willingboro Township Public Safety Director Kinamo Lomon announced that a 23-year Willingboro resident has been charged with the fatal shooting of a man inside a parked vehicle earlier this year on Millbrook Drive.
Terrance J. Matthews, of the 100 block of Eastbrook Lane, was charged with one count of Murder (First Degree), one count of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (First Degree), one count of Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose (Second Degree) and one count of Certain Persons Not to Possess Firearms (Second Degree).
The investigation revealed that on February 18 just before 1 a.m., Davell Williamson, 21, of Willingboro, and another man were sitting in a car on Millbrook Lane when Matthews approached the vehicle and began shooting at the occupants.
Williamson was later pronounced dead at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in Willingboro. His passenger was shot in the arm and treated and released from
Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
Matthews will be scheduled for a first appearance in Superior Court in Mount Holly. The case will then be sent to a Burlington County Grand Jury to be considered for indictment. The charges were filed yesterday evening. Matthews is presently in the Burlington County Jail on unrelated charges.
On June 21, Matthews was charged with the murders of his ex-girlfriends' grandmother and her 9-year-old grandson.
The investigation was conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office and the Willingboro Township Police Department. The lead investigators are BCPO Detective Melvin Rogers and Willingboro Township Police Detective Sharif Hewlett.
All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
