NJ Students Named to Wilkes University Dean's List

WILKES-BARRE, PA ( Wilkes University Senior Vice President and Provost Anne Skleder announced the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must obtain a minimum 3.5 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.

Olivia Plunkett inducted into international studies honor society at Baldwin Wallace University

BEREA, OH (06/17/2019)-- Olivia Plunkett of Haddonfield (08033) was inducted into Baldwin Wallace University's Alpha Mu chapter of Sigma Iota Rho (SIR), Honor Society for International Studies, in the spring 2019 semester. Plunkett, a graduate of Haddonfield Memorial High School majoring in history, shared the honor with three other students. Society membership is extended to international studies majors and minors with sophomore standing or higher who have four courses from international studies requirements with a GPA of 3.2 or better, an overall GPA of 3.2 or better and at least one course at the 300 or 400 level.

Emmanuel College Names Local Students to Spring 2019 Dean's List

BOSTON, MA (06/17/2019)-- In honor of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College has named more than 700 students to the Dean's List for the Spring 2019 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester. The following local students were awarded:

Eric Tecce of Medford Awarded a St. Lawrence University Tanner Fellowship

CANTON, NY (06/17/2019)-- Eric R. Tecce of Medford has been awarded a St. Lawrence University Tanner Fellowship for a summer 2019 research project.

Tecce is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in neuroscience. Tecce attended Shawnee High School. Tecce's project is titled "Rural Healthcare Facilities: CARE Homes".

The Tanner Fellowship was established by family and friends in memory of Tanner Cornwell, son of Peg '79 and Grant Cornwell '79. The fund seeks to enable students with potential to make a difference and have a positive and creative mark on the world through pursuit of educational experiences not otherwise available to them.

Joshua Davis competes in Lions' Lair challenge

READING, PA (06/17/2019)-- Joshua Davis of Millville, N.J., competed in Albright College's spring 2019 Lions' Lair business idea challenge. Davis, majoring in Business Administration at Albright, was part of a team presenting "Courtside Cafe" - a basketball themed fast/casual breakfast cafe located next to Albright Court residence hall.

Lions' Lair judges included Albright grads Brent Hurley '06, founding YouTube team member and current startup investor; Ron Scheese '83, president and CEO of Andesa Services, Inc.; Katherine Scheese '86, owner of From the Heart Consignment Boutique; and Pete Molinaro, CEO & chairman of Adhezion Biomedical, LLC. Faculty judges included Roberto Mandicini, M.B.A., C.P.A., assistant professor of accounting and Bonnie Rohde '92, M.B.A. MIS & IB, C.P.M., C.D.S., instructor of business.
