Vasilios "Billy" Ekimoglou of Deptford

On Thursday, June 13, 2019, at the age of 67, Billy peacefully left this world. After a long battle with Alzheimer's, Vasilios "Billy" Ekimoglou is no longer suffering. 6381961_fbs

He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Krzywicki) and devoted father of Michael, Danny (Shiela), Nicky, Maria (Matt), and Matthew (Katie). He was the loving grandfather of Alexus, Elizabeth, Sofia, Billy, Daniela, Nicholas, Alex, Matthew, Damien, Chase, Braeden, Ryan and great grandfather of Armani. He was the dear brother of Iordanis (Candy) Obituaries 1of Tennessee, Fevronia of Greece, Niko (Susan) of Clayton, and Katina (Larry) of Maple Shade. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Billy was very proud of his Greek Heritage and enjoyed every opportunity to dance the night away. He retired from the Deptford Township Public Works in 2015. Prior to retiring, he spent many years satisfying the appetites of family and friends. His happiness was contagious and he was the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back, literally.

All are welcome to come and pay their respects at the viewing on Tuesday, June 18th, from 10am to 12pm, with funeral services to follow, at Saint Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer Street, Cherry Hill.

Burial will follow at Wenonah Cemetery, Wenonah.

Donations may be made in Billy's memory to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org). Arrangements under the direction of the Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede.
