A new type of family medicine practice — providing patients with greater access to their care providers and more in-depth visits — will launch in Haddonfield on July 1st. Jefferson Health Direct Primary Care - Haddonfield, led by family medicine physicians Dr. Leonard Ridilla and Dr. James Runfola, is a new model of care that ensures patients more accessibility and longer visits. This Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice is a member of Jefferson Health Primary & Specialty Care. Patients who become part of this practice, located at 308 N. Haddon Avenue, will pay a monthly membership fee; their insurance will not be billed, meaning there will be no co-pays or deductibles.
The monthly fee includes:
· Unlimited contact with their doctor that includes office visits with enhanced dialogue
· Extended office hours
· Convenient, at-home JeffConnect® telehealth visits
· Access to Jefferson Health Coaching Services
· An annual physical and flu shot.
Because DPC physicians spend more time with each patient, the two physicians at this practice will have a smaller patient base than in the past.
“One of the greatest advantages for patients of a Direct Primary Care practice is the enhanced relationship with their care provider,” said Chief Physician Executive Dr. Carman Ciervo, who initiated this new model of care for Jefferson Health Primary & Specialty Care. “Wait times are shorter and appointments are longer. In addition, there is 24-7 accessibility. This becomes an opportunity for patients to truly connect with their provider, and improve their health. We’re thrilled to offer this new service to our South Jersey community, led by two outstanding Jefferson Health Family Medicine physicians.”
Drs. Ridilla and Runfola’s current office location, Jefferson Health Redman Avenue Primary Care (15 E. Redman Avenue, Haddonfield), will remain a traditional insurance-based practice. Dr. Beena M. Daniel, who will soon be joined by board-certified Family Medicine physician, Dr. Jeffrey Mazure, will care for patients at this office.
