(Mullica Hill, NJ) (Gloucestercitynews.net)-– On Wednesday, June 12 the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders toured farms to promote the agriculture industry.

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, "The agriculture industry contributes $100 million to our economy.   There is nothing more synonymous with Gloucester County than agriculture and we are proud of our farming heritage.  As the saying goes, no farmers no food, and we are fortunate for the hard work and dedication of our farms and farmers."

Freeholder Deputy Director Frank DiMarco and Freeholder Jim Jefferson took a tour of Hill Creek Farms with owner Fred Sorbello, and NJ Secretary of Agriculture Doug Fisher promoting Jersey Fresh and the #findjerseyfresh award winner Amber Egorov from The In Season Kitchen.

Freeholder Heather Simmons was at the state's largest dairy farm, Wellacrest Farms in Mullica Hill that same morning to mark the start of National Dairy Month with Sienna and Marianne Eachus of the family owned farm.
