Business Administrator for Gloucester City School District Resigns

The Washington Township Board of Education has named Janine Wechter as the district’s new school business administrator/board secretary effective Aug. 1, according to Underage_drinking_starttalking_nwsp (1)https://www.nj.com/

Wechter, a 1991 graduate of Washington Township High School, replaces Peg Meehan, who served in the capacity for approximately 25 years, and assumes oversight of the district’s $150 million operating budget as its chief financial officer.

Wechter, a certified public accountant and qualified purchasing agent, worked as a shared school business administrator at the Logan Township and South Harrison school districts from 2009-'15, then assumed a solo stint at Logan Township before spending the past year as the business administrator for the Gloucester City Public Schools.
