Rams Face Trenton Catholic Friday at 3PM

 

BROOKLAWN, NJ (Gloucestercitynews.net)(May 30, 2019)--Gloucester Catholic will face Trenton Catholic in the South Jersey, Non-Public B. sectional finals Friday, at 3 PM at the Joe Barth Field, 042507_2141_1Browning Road, Brooklawn.  The Rams advanced to Friday's game after beating Holy Spirit 10-0 on Wednesday. Lillo Paxia was 1-for-2 with a double, three RBI and a run as top-seeded Gloucester Catholic scored 10 runs in the bottom of the fifth to defeat fourth-seeded Holy Spirit, 10-0, in the South Jersey, Non-Public B semifinals, according to The South Jersey Times.

Michael Racobaldo was 2-for-2 with with two RBI and a run and Greg Iannelli went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run for Gloucester Catholic (19-5), Tyler Cannon was 2-for-3 with two runs and Ryan Nutley went 1-for-4 with two runs and a RBI. Luke Lesch pitched five scoreless innings, allowing four hits and two walks with six strikeouts.

Trevor Cohen went 2-for-2 for Holy Spirit (15-8).

Trenton Catholic (14-8) advanced to Friday's game by defeating Immaculate 7-3 Tuesday, May 28.

The winner of Friday's game will play for the state final. Gloucester Catholic won the state title the last two years.
