It has been brought to the attention of the Brooklawn Police Dept., that scammers have been in the area of Brooklawn. These scammers are approaching residents under the pretense that their street is going to be under construction and need to sign a waiver. Once this waiver is signed, the resident receives a letter a few days later stating that the resident no longer owns their home, and it is our belief that they will inevitably attempt to extort money from them. The scammers appear to be targeting elderly residents, sp please be aware. Please share this with your neighbors, not everyone has Facebook and we are trying to notify as many people as possible.
