More inland, a crop of tempting dining and drinking events pop up in Philly neighborhoods and surrounding towns like Bella Vista (Hawthornes’ IPA, Champagne and Rosé Block Party), El Centro de Oro (Night Market), Phoenixville (Phoenixville Beer and Wine Festival) and Media (Dining Under the Stars).

And crowds flock to East Kensington for the quirky Philadelphia Federal Credit Union Kensington Derby and Arts Festival, an annual fest featuring human-powered, handmade floats traversing an urban obstacle course that ends at a mud pit.
